Limited Submissions
Limited Submissions are funding opportunities from federal, state, and private organizations that restrict the number of applications an institution can submit. The Office of Research administers the Limited Submission selection process for the University of Central Florida.
To identify a limited submission opportunity, check the funder’s guidelines for institutional limits – usually listed under Eligibility in the Notice of Funding Opportunity/Request for Applications. Note that some restrictions may also apply to subawards.
The UCF Limited Submissions Office serves as the central authorized organizational representative for all limited submission opportunities, regardless of the submitting entity, including direct support organizations that conduct other sponsored activities.
All identified limited submission opportunities are posted in the UCF InfoReady portal with instructions and shared university-wide to faculty in a weekly email from limitedsub@ucf.edu.
The postings in InfoReady provide information on required internal deadlines and application requirements. To allow adequate time for submission, review, selection, and post-selection revisions, internal deadlines are set well in advance of sponsor deadlines.
Internal Notice of Intent and White Paper submissions must be submitted via the UCF InfoReady system to be included in an internal competition.
Failure to consistently follow the established limited submission process may affect a PI’s eligibility for future limited submission opportunities.
