Luminary Awards
The Luminary Awards — established in 2017 — are designed to recognize some of UCF’s brightest stars who shine a positive light on the university and in their respective fields, as well as illuminate a path of discovery for those who will come after them. The event occurs once every year and awardees are nominated by their leadership and must meet specific criteria.

NSF CAREER Awards
The National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the NSF’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.
Many recipients of the NSF CAREER Award often earn other prestigious awards from government agencies. Faculty can apply with the help of the Office of Research’s Research Development team and their NSF CAREER series workshops.
Faculty Excellence
The UCF Faculty Excellence team coordinates significant internal university awards and honors recognizing faculty members for exceptional teaching, research and service. Its also encouraged for faculty members to pursue external honorific awards.
