The Office of Research & Commercialization (ORC) facilitates a number of internal funding programs for researchers at the University of Central Florida (UCF).

 
Faculty Travel

 

The University Travel Awards committee is committed to promoting Faculty Excellence and has decided to strategically invest funds to support faculty travel when they are to receive a prestigious national or international award.

 

Call for White Papers for Salary Support for Large Proposal Development

 

ORC/Graduate Studies recognizes the level of effort required to develop successful, complex proposals and is announcing the availability of salary support to lead Principal Investigators (PIs) to improve the probability of success.

 

In-House Research Grants

 

The purpose of this grant program is to initiate new faculty research activities, which will strengthen faculty credentials and make them more competitive for external funding appropriate to their discipline.

 

Undergraduate Research Initiative
 

The Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI) is designed to increase the involvement of undergraduate students in research and encourage them to pursue graduate-level research and study. The intention is to leverage external funding to expand the engagement of undergraduate researchers.

 

Matching Funds for Federal Agencies Program

 

The purpose of this grant program is to initiate new faculty research activities, which will strengthen faculty credentials and make them more competitive for external funding by matching support.

 

 

 

 

 
Partnership Programs
 

Florida High Tech Corridor Council (FHTCC) - Open Solicitation

Proposals are sought for partnership projects between UCF faculty and regional high technology industries along the Florida High Tech Corridor. The primary goal of the FHTCC is to attract, grow, and retain high technology companies in the Florida High Tech Corridor area. The program is specifically designed to expand the research activities of an FHTCC industry partner by providing matching funds to leverage research collaborations between Industry and UCF.

 

FHTCC - Phase II SBIR/STTR External Investment Program

This program is specifically designed to expand the research activities of an FHTCC industry partner by providing external investment funds to small companies to leverage research collaborations between Industry and UCF to assist in obtaining a Phase II SBIR/STTR award.

 

Mayo-UCF Mini Symposium

A mini symposium to promote collaboration between UCF and Mayo Clinic (all campuses) research scientists, engineers, and physicians will be held on April 28th from 11 am to 3 pm in the Harris Engineering Center at UCF, Room 101.
