Intellectual Property Manager
Nicholas is an Intellectual Property Manager in the Office of Technology Transfer. In this role, he serves as a primary point of contact for intellectual property prosecution matters, working closely with outside counsel and UCF inventors to support the efficient and timely preparation and prosecution of patent applications and ensuring the resultant patents are valuable.
Nicholas joined UCF from private practice, where he worked as an intellectual property attorney advising clients on patent strategy and protection. He is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He also previously served as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office within the animal and plant husbandry unit, focusing on mechanical technologies.
