Luis Rabelo received a dual Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the Technological University of Panama in 1983, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1987, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1988 and 1990 respectively. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Nuclear Engineering Department of the University of Missouri in 1991. He worked as Operations Manager for an engineering consortium. He also worked for Ohio University as Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering. He worked as a Senior R&D Engineer and Program Manager for the Advanced Technology Group of Goodrich (Cleveland, Ohio) where he worked in advanced technologies in Aerospace projects. He also received a dual M.S. in Management and Aerospace from the Sloan School of Management and the School of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he was a Lead Scientist in the Honeywell Technology Center (Minneapolis, Minnesota). He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida (Orlando, Florida). He is a NASA Fellow and a Fulbright Scholar. He has over 220 publications, 8 invention reports, and three international patents, all of them in Aerospace Systems (already flying in civilian and military aircrafts).
