Funding Available: $100,000 per faculty up to a total of $2,000,000 annually
Program Intent: The purpose of this program is to provide cash match that will enable academic and research units to provide a more competitive start-up package and enhance our ability to attract top research faculty to UCF. Funds should be used to establish their research programs and shorten the time required for new faculty to be productive researchers. This program will fund 50% of the proposed new-faculty Start-up package. The College and or Department are expected to provide the remaining 50% of the cost of the new faculty start-up package. Multi year proposals are acceptable but limited to three years. Any funding remaining after the third year will revert back to the program. Proposals must include the following*:
- Cover page Summary of the new faculty start-up package A research plan that identifies potential funding sources and relates how funds will be used to establish a funded research program at UCF Identify competitors and potential collaborators within and outside UCF Short Vitae (3 page max)

Important Procedural Note: Proposals will be evaluated by a review committee and forwarded to Vice President Soileau for final approval. Proposals that do not meet the guidelines will be returned without review.
