UCF-Industry Fellow Program Announcement

The Office of Research & Commercialization desires to recognize sustained industry-university research relationships by bestowing the title of “UCF-Company Name Fellow” on a university researcher.   These collaborations contribute significantly to the education of our students and the growth of our community through advancements in products and services.

If you are eligible and would like to participate, please complete and submit the one-page application to the Office of the Vice President for Research & Commercialization for consideration.

CRITERIA

  • Minimum of $500,000 research and development funds within the maximum of a five-year period.   Credit splits by co-investigators, when applicable, will be taken into consideration.
  • Company authorization letter permitting use of company name.
  • In-unit, non-unit, out of unit university full-time faculty eligible.
  • Direct federal funds are not eligible.

REVIEW PROCESS

All proposals to industry shall be submitted through the Office of Research & Commercialization. The Vice President for Research & Commercialization shall review and certify fellowship eligibility.

APPOINTMENT

The Vice President for Research & Commercialization shall bestow the title of “UCF-Company-named Fellow” upon the university researcher upon receipt of required authorization and documentation.

LENGTH OF APPOINTMENT

Concurrently runs with the term of the research and development agreement. In the event of termination, the UCF research fellow shall carry the title through the end of the fiscal year.

EFFECTIVE DATE

All active research agreements are eligible for consideration in this program.
