As the benefits of research permeate the mainstream and anyone sitting at a PC has access to data it once took a Ph.D. to unearth, researchers, like so many others, have had their job descriptions re-written. Scientists can conceivably find their work available for public consumption before they’ve formulated their own conclusions. Anyone who discovers a better process, a faster method or a more complete test is also well aware that the next generation of faster and better is not far behind them. The speed of doing business today makes it imperative that all partners in the research development process have access to current, consistent and accurate data.
That is why we have revamped our web site to include a new phase of proposal and grant management. By giving faculty, staff and partners access to pertinent data about our ongoing research, we hope to simplify the process of applying for, administering and accounting for project funding.
As research funding increases and discoveries continue, UCF will continue to put its mark on the evolving concept of the metropolitan research university. We work with the community and the community works with us. We hope the information on this site eases the process of doing business with us. |
