Administration is responsible for human resources, budgeting, accounting, office management,
property administration, internal awards, and faculty travel. POC: for
all Administrative areas, Beverly Laakso, Associate Director,

Human Resources: Reviews all postings, hiring packages,
RAF's and contracts for personnel assigned to contracts and grants
throughout the University, Institutes and Centers. Facilitates
hiring within the Office of Research & Commercialization.
Maintains all personnel files for the Office of Research & Commercialization.
Reviews and distributes documents pertaining to annual raises
for personnel in the Office of Research & Commercialization,
Institutes and Centers. Workers' Compensation claims - Provides
support between the employee who files a worker's compensation
claim and Human Resources. Enters and approves payroll. POC: Kimberly

Office Management: Receives and welcomes all visitors
to the Office of Research & Commercialization. Handles phone
contacts, mail distribution, and electronic mail messages to
staff members. Supervises student assistants. POC:

Property Administration: Property custodian maintains
property records and tracks all property for the Office of Research
& Commercialization. Coordinates property administration
for Institutes and Centers. Surpluses obsolete property. POC: Ami
Zuclich, azuclich@mail.ucf.edu.
Internal Awards: Provides funding for and monitors
expenditures on internal awards, including but not limited to
Florida Hi Tech Corridor (I-4), Federal Match, and the Presidential
Equipment Initiative. POC: Evelyn Ramirez, emramire@mail.ucf.edu.
Faculty Travel: Coordinates the faculty travel reimbursement
program with the Faculty Travel Committee. POC: Ami Zuclich, azuclich@mail.ucf.edu.
External Reporting: Provides external reports to NSF,
BOE and others concerning activities of the Office of Research
& Commercialization. POC: Beverly Laakso, blaakso@mail.ucf.edu.
