Critical Thinking and Multi-Media    


 

Description:

This study uses an external scheduling system and timeslots ARE available. Go to Sign Up. This study assesses the impact of multi-media presentation on critical thinking.
IMPORTANT!

As a participant in this study, you will be asked to participate in a multimedia experience related to decision making. You may be asked to wear physiological sensors during the media presentation. The study will last for a 3 hour session.

You will be asked to fill out surveys measuring personality, experience with different multimedia, and some demographic information. You will also complete a pre-media assessment. At the conclusion of the study you will be asked to answer questions about your attention, engagement, emotional state, and the difficulty of the task. Additionally you will take a post-test immediately following the multimedia experience either 8 weeks or 12 weeks after your last session. The 8-week or 12-week post test will be accessible via the Internet so you will not return to the lab. You will be mailed a $35 Visa gift card for completing the online followup session.

Must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
