The Office of Research & Commercialization (ORC) has implemented its Spring Training Program. The presentations are offered in two-hour clusters at various times and days across campus to accommodate the maximum number of attendees. The next cluster of sessions, covering Subcontracting, Calculation of, Use, and Distribution of Overhead, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Exemptions begins Feb. 6. Two additional clusters are offered: one on Time & Effort, Cost Transfers, and Audits; and another on Closeouts and Cost Share.
Two independent, one-hour presentations are also being launched this semester. The first is a brief introduction to ORC designed for new faculty, staff, and administrators or those new to the sponsored research arena. The other is a review of conflict of interest as it pertains to research.
Principal investigators, co-principal investigators, research associates, college/departmental administrators and staff, and all others who are involved in conducting or administering research are encouraged to attend these sessions.
